‘No One is at the Level of theClubhou.se’

If something comes up and we may not have run into that problem before, I know that, OK, because I’ve made these relationships within theClubhou.se…you can probably get an answer pretty quickly.

Darius Lawson

When Cynwave Solutions (pronounced sign-wave) was looking to move from its home-based office in Augusta, it didn’t have to look far.

The government facilities and cybersecurity training provider already knew about theClubhou.se from the best referral sources: companies, like IntelliGenesis, that were already coworking members.

Cynwave was ready to grow. It wanted a professional office space, meeting rooms, amenities like faxing and printing, and support staff. It also wanted to be able to collaborate with like-minded businesses.

It found all of that at theClubhou.se. Although Cynwave looked at office sites in strip malls and other smaller coworking spaces, Darius Lawson, business development manager at Cynwave, says that those other sites didn’t offer the amenities that theClubhou.se has available. “No one is at the level of theClubhou.se,” he says. “[Plus], theClubhou.se is in the hub of all that cyber goodness. … It’s been beneficial to us from the start.”

Another benefit was cost. Cynwave’s custom membership is about $1,000 a month and includes 24/7 access to a secure office that holds two desks, plus use of theClubhou.se’s secure Fiber network and WiFi—all for four employees. The membership also includes access to hot desks, 10 hours of reservable conference room time per month, and networking and educational events hosted by theClubhou.se, among other benefits. “It helps the people who can’t afford to get a full, big office. You’re still in theClubhou.se, you’re still in the environment, so you’re still winning,” Lawson says.

The networking has been especially useful. In the world of government contracts, it’s common for companies to collaborate in submitting a successful bid. “You may have a niche you’re really good at, but the contract calls for something you’ve never done,” says Lawson, who says he’s reached out to other companies at theClubhou.se and the Georgia Cyber Center several times to partner on contracts.

Lawson adds that being in theClubhou.se has also helped keep him “in the know” on other potential contracts, and with students continually at the cyber center for training, there’s the opportunity to hire potential employees too.

Then there are the soft benefits. “Sometimes it’s not about getting more business,” says Lawson. “If something comes up and we may not have run into that problem before, I know that, OK, because I’ve made these relationships within theClubhou.se…you can probably get an answer pretty quickly.

”It’s a great facility, and it’s definitely needed.”
